When it comes to branding many entrepreneurs think of just a logo. There is or should be a strategy to Branding and giving your company the exposure that it needs in order to increase your bottom line. In this blog we will look a 10 ways that you can put into place a successful strategy to grow your brand.
Let’s begin by looking at the definition of Brand.
Definition of BRAND: The distinctive characteristics that establish a recognizable identity for a person, product, or thing.
Step 1. Define the character of your business. What is it that you stand for? What is it that you want people to think about when it comes to your company?
Step 2. Partnerships, Collaborations, and Sponsorships…what other people or organizations can you become connected with that have your same ideologies and mindset that will allow you to expand your reach into different areas?
Step 3. What technology are you using that will give you multiple platforms to reach your target audience? Social Media, Website, You tube…etc. Maximize your reach!!!!
Step 4. Do you have an events calendar? What is your company doing and how are you letting your target market know that you are doing it. Put together a monthly events calendar.
Step 5. Do you have a calendar of events? This is a calendar of events that you need to be in the room for, whether virtually or physically. This gives you the opportunity to network, dialogue and give awareness to your Brand.
Step 6. Products/Services expansion. Take a look at what other products and/or services you can offer to your current clients or can you expand to offer in order to gain new clients and increase your Brand exposure.
Step 7. Brand Culture in order for you to have a successful brand you must create a culture that embodies what your business stands for. Do you have fundamental principles that your business believes in or has a mission to accomplish. This gives everyone that you encounter an image that they can feel when they think of your brand.
Step 8. Logo. Do you have a logo that stands out and that can catch people’s eye when they see it?
Step 9. Be consistent at what you do. these steps will mean nothing if you are not consistently doing these things to ensure that your Brand is out in front of people.
Step 10. BELIEVE IN YOUR BRAND!!!!! If you don’t believe in who you are then you cannot expect anyone else to. When you speak about your brand, when you write about your brand and when you present your brand in any way you want to ensure that you show people the confidence that you have in it.
